Silkie thread!

Did your other chickens kill her? I doubt it, maybe she just died. Sometimes they die for unexplained reasons. I just lost a bird with no clue why. One night fine, the next morning dyeing. Sorry to hear about your lose though. I have one Silkie also, but she is a real go getter. No one picks on her. Just think of the fun you'll have raising another one.

Hi all =) Wondering what everyone thinks of this little one. Pullet or Roo? He/she is around 20 weeks old. I just can't get over how full and fluffy it is!
Looks like a pullet to me. The way she stands and some of her features scream pullet to me. Cheers, Ps. Should start to get streamers by this stage altho some are slow to do so.

Thank you Minny and Fancychooklady! I'm so glad to hear this! I'm pretty sure the white one in a couple of the pictures is a roo, as the waddles are already coming in so I was really hoping that the darker one is a hen. Her name is Mocha but I find myself calling her Little Fluffy Butt! LOL! I have three silkies and the oldest one (29-30 weeks) just started to crow. So it looks like I have two roos and 1 hen!

Absolutely sure. She was laying in a pool of blood and feathers. Her neck area had all the feathers plucked out and they almost decapitated her. Our Barred Rock's feathers were mixed in. If it were a cat or hawk you'd think they would have done more than rip her throat open.
