HI everyone. I thought i would introduce some of my sweet silkies to everyone. I had been alurker for a while and finally registered.

My anniversary present my boyfriend brought home to me about 4 hours ago...... 2 6 week old silkie chicks!!!!! I'm so in love already

The one with the dark feathers on it is bigger and louder than the other one.

What do you all think? Did he pick out good ones?

I'm new to Silkies, this is my first ones and also my first go around with chicks!!!

Also, when will I know what quality they are and what sex they are??? I was told it is later than other chickens... Thanks!

My only concern is that they look more like Silkie crosses than Silkies because of the hard feathering on the wings. Maybe, it's just the way the picture looks though?

Yes i agree, Maybe Cochin mixes?
 
From what he said they were the first hatch from someone who was going for "fizzle" (not sure if that's right or not) chicks. Even if they're not pure silkies I love them just the same
