You do have to admit that a silkie and a feather duster look a lot alike.

Really fluffy ones make me think of tribbles.


So the newest chicks are a week old, so I opened the hole to the ramp and put the broody down a couple steps. Chicks were also put down a few steps. She has them foraging in the grass underneath that is getting a bit too long. I know I'll be crawling in to get them later. She doesn't understand about long ramps.

They do look like tribbles and yes you may lose one hiding in feather duster...lol

My project buddy Broly. He's 17 weeks old now. I had the teenagers out yesterday when I opened the LF pen (3 silkie roosters in there). Two of the roosters came over and tried to make the young pullets squat. They screamed and Broly came running. He was very willing to take both of the roosters on. I stopped that became no one needs hurt. Broly may have them on size, but he lacks maturity and experience.
