Silkie thread!

I'm in NY and have 19 silkies, all different colors and feather types. Sadly 11 roosters and 5 gens. Just bought a second coop today so I can separate sexes.

Anyway, I got my first 2 eggs today and they were tiny! I know silkie eggs are smaller, but these were teeny. I thi k my smallest hen laid them. So cute.
Hi I’m in Northern NY. Silkie eggs are between small and medium store bought eggs. However their first eggs are small a few of mine layed fairy eggs in the beginning about the size of a dime.

My silkie eggs weigh peewee normally up to small on egg size. I did an egg size comparison up for my mom one year using silkies and my large fowl. The two on the left were from silkies.

I have 5 eggs that were under my silkie. Three have hatched so far. The moms are either Cotton my small white silkie that is sitting on them, Luna my splash silkie, or Millie my Mille fleur d uccle. The dad is my black/grey silkie.

The first two are almost identical except that one is much smaller. The 3rd is very different but still has grayish skin and 5 toes. It was born a day later. In these pictures he’s half a day old. I’m really unsure if it’s a cross or purebred. Leaning towards cross because it looks like it has a tiny comb but it’s still to young to tell right? Is there anyway to tell other than the feathers when they come in?

No chicks don’t molt. Hard to see them at 10 weeks but the one has a very slicked back crest which would suggest a rooster, however, not so quality silkie hens can be slicked back as well. I would give them more time.
