Faverolle is a breed originating in France. Single combed, 5-toed, feathered legs, no crest. Salmon (silver wheaten plus mahogany) is probably the most common variety.

A black split to lav cannot give the blue gene to its offspring; only a splash or blue (split to lav or not) could. However, the OTHER parent could provide a blue gene if it is blue or splash.

Favorelles aka favs are a super sweet breed of chicken that I've been told gets along well with silkies as they are both docile in nature. The come in standard and bantam size.

No blacks split to lav cannot produce a blue chick lol in my rambling I might have been confusing

So do you think this chick could be black? It was marked black and came from a black pen. (I hope it's blue, but no pressure)

It is silver, not cream.

Oh man, I just got my first silkie today and seeing everyone's beautiful birds make me more excited then I already was!
He's 2 months old I believe.. got him with a frizzle cochin and he cries if they aren't together. It's very very cute!
I've wanted silkies since I got started with chickies and now I finally have one!

Thanks! He is Partridge, now whether he's Blue Partridge or not, I have no clue. These are my first Silkies.
