Aww, very cool!
My white one, new, I picked her up and she clucked at me, but as soon as I set her on my lap, she snuggled right in!!

They are total lap chickens!! We only have a few that won't jump on our laps as soon as they get a chance. Those few will yell a little when we pick them up, but, like yours, they get snuggle up pretty quickly. They really are such sweet animals.

Anyone?

Some of mine dog pile and others sleep on a roost up high just like my other breeds. Some don't jump well at all, and others can jump VERY high. You could put in a low roost, about a foot off the ground, so the ones that want to roost can.

I definitely think you should do a little bigger house to expand later if you want to.

{{{chuckle}}} I am not planning to expand (MUCH lol), as I am planning to use 2 hens to brood full sized eggs, and one to raise more Silkies to sell, and one to use to rotate...give the others a break if they want/need one

I am hoping that one of the chicks is a roo...and my grand daughter wants 2 hens, so that only leaves me with one "unclaimed" if all goes as planned

hmmmm....maybe getting a roo now might be a good idea....nah, I'll just be patient! lol suuuuure! {{{chuckle}}}} sounds like a little bigger might not be a bad idea lol!

Why is our 'buff' baby getting white feathers? Her fluff was very golden but her big-girl feathers are coming in much lighter, white! We also have a very light chick getting the white feathers which is what we expected. Not that I don't like white, but I'm just surprised. She's our favorite anyway.

You can see the buff fluff and the white feathers in this picture.
