Silkie thread!

It was not activated because activated will kill them. I used the correct mixture for them to breathe, I think it was something like 2 teaspoons per gallon or something like that, it still was irritating. Other people have had the same experiences when I asked about it. It also makes you light headed and gave me a headache.

I would make a huge difference depending on whether you activated it or not. Definitely not if activated. If you haven't activated it, it should be helpful in the same way for humans as for animals. Also, the oxine should be quite diluted, and that could make a difference. If it hurt you to breathe in, it was not good for your birds.

I haven't tried it out yet. I'm waiting for the Oxine to arrive, it should be on the mail truck today. It better be! I paid enough shipping to get it sooner!

I don't plan on breathing it in myself. I was going to put the humidifier out in their coop, close them in for a little bit. I'm closing there are instructions with the jug on how long to use it? For what amount of time do I leave the humidifier in the coop? And do I do this once a day for what amount of days? Or more than once a day? lol

This morning I went out and my hen was in the nest box getting ready to lay her egg. I went out 2 hours later, and there was an egg, but it didn't look like her eggs do. It was round instead of oval, so it was short. Do you think it would still be her egg? Or could it have been one of the pullets?
