Thank you!

How is your little girl doing that has the skin problem?
Still struggling. I separated her but kept her sister to be with her. I believe she has face mites but cannot see those darn bugs. I continue to bathe her every Saturday with the oatmeal bath treatment as well as some oatmeal oil to alleviate and soothe her. I changed all the pine shaving inside the coop and added Sevin. I put a few drops of ivermectin in her and today I started to apply several times a day some triple antibiotic cream to soothe and help the skin to get better day by day.
Next step is Frontline... but I will give her a bath first. Frontline is much more effective than other medicine... it kills the bugs and the eggs. Anyway, it is my last hope.
I almost gave up on her but she is so patient and cuddly that I do my best for her to get better. Today I noticed she was pretty weak, her comb was quite pale. Will see... I am doing everything ... and learning!

I am so sorry that you haven't been able to correct this issue. It's so hard to do everything and not make significant progress. I wish there was something else I could think of that might help. I'm even struggling to come up with a homeopathic remedy for this situation. :/ Maybe a phone call to a poultry specialist at your nearest vet school might be worth a try? Or contact with Dr Peter Brown at www.firststatevetsupply.com ?

The purple ribbon is the perfect finishing touch. I think the little sweetie pie is born to model. Maybe come out with her own brand name silkie saddles.diapers. She's a star.

Poulettes, did the girl with the skin problem look pale before. I am wondering if she is toxic from sevin, ivermectin etc. maybe too much at once, and then if you add Frontline might well finish her off. I think I would stop using the sevin & ivermectin and give her system a rest before trying anything else. If they aren't producing the results you want, there is no reason to continue with them. It would be great if you could get in touch with Dr.Brown.

I hope you find something that will help her.

Thank you Tina. Unfortunately i don't think any homeopathic or natural remedy will work at this point, she is too infested. I haven't try to contact peter Brown yet, but will if the frontline does not work.

I completely agree with you. I am going to give her a little break before applying Frontline because it is too much on her. I just want her to get rid of whatever she has.

Poulettes I always give my babies the yolk of a soft boiled egg when they seem weak. Knock on wood, it gives them energy and seems to help when they seem to be pale and chalky. My older ones also love cottage cheese and yogurt sprinkled with dry whole grain oatmeal, and I think the yogurt is especially good for them too. You are probably doing these things already, but thought I might mention it anyway.

Thank you Drumstick Diva! She's MY little star.
