I don't think the color is bad, but the horns are something you won't want to breed. They look pretty big in the first picture. Almost like Toulouse's horns
It's probably a little lighter than preferred but not a DQ as bright red would be. I have mulberries in my yard and they have shades of dark red to black.
Thanks guys.Horns are very common and yes something to breed away from but I wouldn't remove a great bird from my breeding program because of them.
Well, either way, I'm interested to see what kind of chicks I'll get from this guy.
