Quote: has any one built an escalator? it is a moving staircase – a conveyor transport device for carrying people between floors of a building. The device consists of a motor-driven chain of individual, linked steps that move up or down on tracks, allowing the step treads to remain horizontal.

I've been having trouble teaching my group to go up the ramp. They'll go down. Yesterday I widened the ramp and put a lot more crossbars on it for better traction. Hopefully they'll learn to go up it now...fingers crossed.

Whatever got my Shasta- went after others. I've been putting them in cages at night. What ever it is tunneled underneath them . I'm thinking rat. Unless a weasel is using the rat tunnel... I'm taking the cages to the tool shed tonight. It has 100 percent wooden floor- mine has most wooden, but some spaces are rotten (new one going to built when income tax gets here. Wish I could get them to roost on something.

I mean he tunneled under the cage!!! A second hole. We are going to use 1 inch plywood for the new building. When I take them to Mom's tool shed, she's going to be really happy to hear Yoshi crow in the morning ;)

Hi! We are just putting the finishing touches on our newly built "Poultry Palace". We will have a pen just for the Silkies. Right now it is just an empty pen. I have never had adult Silkies so I'm not sure what to put in there for them as far a low perch? Or nothing? Just lots of bedding (hay) for them to sleep on? On the floor? low platform? Starting from scratch here so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I've had some chicks hatch out this color and they turned out looking like this.

I gave all these chicks away, I was making room for my Catdance chicks at the time, so those are the only pictures I have. But I did see one of them almost all grown up and the cockerel looked just like daddy Curly. Apparently Curly is a gray.
There he is with some of his girls.

Poo, four toes on the yellow skin one.

Now what is that?

Could it be just bad genetics that popped out as pink skin and 4 toes? It does happen occasionally, doesn't it?
