Silkie thread!

So, what do you guys think of this pullet. They're not great pictures, but you can sort of see what she looks like. She's about 8 months old in these pictures.
The feathering on her middle toes is very poor. I don't remember if she has any feathers...maybe a couple. I don't think I have a picture of her feet.
If I were to sell this little lady, what would a pullet like this be worth?? My guess is $35'ish....not knowing anything about Silkie prices?? Am I way off?

I think I better take some nicer pictures.

I bought Icelynn for $20 at 3 months, and this one looks better than her, so yeah I would say $35 is good. I am SOOOO jealous of my friend's white! She is GORGEOUS! at 3 months you an already tell she will be a winner! EXCELLENT foot feathering, HUGE bonnet crest, PERFECT feet, and STUNNING round chest! I wish I had a current picture. If it is indeed a pullet, I would love to breed to her, if it is a cockerel, I can still breed to it

Your friend got lucky with just one chick.

I wish my pullet had better feet, then I'd show her. Otherwise, I really have no use for her. Unless I decide to get some more white birds. I'm sort of toying with the idea.

If I find a nice home for this pullet, I'd let her go.

I do have an egg in the bator that should be a black, but you never know... and who knows if it will even hatch...

She's pretty. :) I like her crest. If you were closer we would take her for sure - we need more white hens/pullets! I already know which roo she would be paired with - he has amazing foot feathering but is lacking in the crest department.

Foot feather is not that hard to work with.. I have a couple in need as well :) I agree, she is a pretty girl!

No not really =( just pretty dark. The pictures don't come out well. The yolk areas are very dark, not just semi dark like the pictures. The 3 day one has those dark lines, I hope there is something going on! Should I take one of the two 7 day ones and break it open? I already threw out one that was a dud.

No reason to break one. Just wait longer. You flash light may not be bright enough. If the yolk is very dark they are probably developing. :D

If that middle toe is all that is wrong with her, she should be worth more than $35. I don't raise whites, so I don't really know, but the standard for white is really high because they have had so many years of improvement. These pictures don't show her type well which is the most important thing. Poor middle toe feathering is not a DQ.
