Anyone have a recommendation for hatching eggs from show quality flock on the east coast in lavender, porceilain, and paints? I want catdance eggs but I am concerned having them travel from Washington to NC. Thanks. We already have some beautiful whites and want to branch out with quality blood lines.

Geri Godina has Lav and Porcelain.

We are in TN - so not that far from you - and have had awesome success with Catdance eggs. (And as a side note, we have Paint pens with BQ stock from Aimee Crego and Judy Lee.)

I do have an egg in the bator that should be a black, but you never know... and who knows if it will even hatch...

Well, you really should have some whites, you know!

If that middle toe is all that is wrong with her, she should be worth more than $35. I don't raise whites, so I don't really know, but the standard for white is really high because they have had so many years of improvement. These pictures don't show her type well which is the most important thing. Poor middle toe feathering is not a DQ.

No, the pictures do not show her type well. I'll have to do a photo shoot with miss Marilyn one of these days.

I don't think her type is excellent, but I'm pretty sure she'd be worth breeding to a rooster with good foot feathering and type.

looks girly, but it is still too young to tell. Very small comb though so that's a good start!

So I just went to grab the girls from their inside cage to put them outside for the day, and apparently Nori layed an egg, and Ice was guarding it

I went to grab her and she put up a bit of a stink(not typical) and I noticed she was standing on top of a little egg

Ice doesn't lay yet, so I found it funny she had assumed the position of egg guardian

. I am watching them outside now from my window, they look so beautiful, I just love silkies!
