Silkie thread!

Okay more pics of snowball! S/He is 15 weeks old now. The body screams girl, but the comb screams boy! I am still stumped!

PS: omg Cleopatra is a little stinker! As I was trying to type this, she bit both sides of my lip, bit my ear, and then bit my eye ball!

Do chicks go through a "teething" stage? lol

I have a boy who I thought was a girl until about two weeks ago. Then he grew a HUGE comb and crowed, lol. But he stood like a girl and acts like a girl still. Zero interest in the girls at 6.5 months. So with the comb I would say boy.

I guess you'll just have to wait for streamers or a crow lol. I agree, it has a very maleish comb. My cockerels started getting their first streamers at around 17 weeks.
And yes, it seems chicks go through a stage where they are very 'beaky' lol. They'll peck every tiny mole on my arm, peck all my jewelry, try to peck my teeth, and peck at my nails or toes if they're painted. Silly babies

:barnie One of the broody silkies accidentally crushed one of her developing eggs. And I had to quarantine my two almost-3-month-old chicks because they're starting to sneeze. Acting fine, eating fine, just sneezing a lot. Silkies and their drama! My other chickens never give me this much trouble.

My babies began sneezing when I gave them hay to play with. It had a drying agent on it.

I think it is silver partridge. I've heard that people have silver partridge pop out of paint pens sometimes. You should keep it :)
Anyone know what color this chick is, came from a paint hen, unsure of the roo. I was thinking silver partridge, i might hold onto it to see how it colors out it has a huge vaulted skull and is so cute. Firs picture is at a day old now it is 2 weeks.
