I apologize someone wanted to know if someone sold ginger silkies and right now the guy is all out but Nature Berry Farms does he doesn't ship birds but he sells all colors and both bearded and non-beared. He might be able to point you in the right direction. Maybe go to a show and find someone with a ginger and see how you can obtain one.

This is what I do from hatch. I hang out in the coop real close to the broody and her chicks. Never moving real fast. Hand feed the momma so the chicks learn that I am not a threat. I have done this with two batches and all chicks are comfortable with me around. Now I don't handle them for pets, only for inspections, which they tolerate.
