Silkie thread!

I was told he is Colombian and he does have black in his hackles, I will see if I can find a better picture of him.
I don't know, maybe he is.
You can definitely see some black in the hackles here in this picture. But like I said, I don't remember the standard for the color so I could easily be wrong.

I live in Oklahoma and I'm dying to get my hands on some Silkies! I ordered some from Ideal Poultry it was either The weather or a bad batch but I lost them all :( I found some gorgeous ones in Paden, OK but my husband didn't want to drive all The way there because of gas prices. PLEASE let me know if anyone has any to sell or knows of anyone! Thank you!

Duchess my Paint girl is 6 months old, The Blue is 4 Months and the Patridge is about 3 Months.. :)

I love my camera, gets great shots of my lil babies..

I like that Paint.

Her wings are a little low...or loose. Whatever they call it? lol Hopefully they'll tuck in a bit more as she ages. Nice pullet though.

Candling at 36 hours, something just seems off too me, this is my first and I have a bad feeling :(

I don't know what an egg should look like at 36 hours, but that's probably too early to candle. Have you read through this topic?

There are great pictures there that show the development of a fertile egg.

I take it that you have your eggs in the incubator? Are you keeping them tip down or up, as you have in the pictures?
