Silkie thread!

that's the weird part, I didn't think sexlinks even WENT broody?? she's been there for 4 days now still sitting there. I don't think I"m going to do it. I'll take the 45 min drive to get the incubator I think.
Give her golf balls to set on. If she is still sitting by lockdown, give her an egg or two and if she does well with those, give her all the chicks.

Barred Rocks are not supposed to go broody either, and I had one that did. One of the best mothers I've ever had.

I think she looks permanently surprised

I'm going to get the incubator... but I wonder if I can just get her to sit on them until saturday :) But, I'm nervous that she'll change her mind or something when I'm not looking and they'll go bad! I'd rather wait until saturday to get the bator... I could get it tomorrow or today even, but my friend won't be there and I'd really like to see her :)

I could also give them to my silkies, but they're sitting on eggs right now. wouldn't they toss them out of the nest because they're not moving inside like the ones ready to hatch on tuesday?

I am in desperate need for help! I have an approx. 22 week old Silkie and all of a sudden he is acting very odd.
I noticed that he was just sitting away from everyone else and his head was kinda bobbing from side to side as they do when you're holding them walking. I've read and read trying to figure out what it could be! I don't know if it is Merek's, water on the brain or a vitamin deficiency!? I had them on Corid for approx week due to others having cocci. Out of the 20 I only lost 1 to the cocci. I was hoping that it is that simple assuming that the Corid caused the deficiency and he will recover.

I had to hand feed the water with poly in it to ensure he got some of the vitamin water and he did immediately show some improvement.
I notice that the head bobbing does increase with stress. I've found him wandering the property 2ce now in a couple of days time so I now have brought him in the house in a large cage. I can't tell if he's loosing his sight or what the issue is there. He will eat and drink when I direct his head towards the food and water. Most of his time is spent sitting. He doesn't appear to have any paralysis in either leg or wing. I'm at such a loss and he's always been such an active upright standing boy. I would hate to loose him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think if you put the new eggs in she will abandon them to care for the chicks that she is about to hatch.

will she sit on them until saturday if her chicks aren't due until mon or tuesday though? or will she abandon them right away?
