Silkie thread!

I'm silkie crazy! Lol! I got 3 new silkies today & 4 frizzles. Are frizzles considered silkies or their own breed?

Newbie here and I have 3 silkie hens and 1 rooster. I have had them for 3 days. Jill, has just stated laying and she has laid for last 2 days. She is a very friendly girl and loves to be near me when I'm in the run. Sunday she laid an egg in the nest box. Today she laid an egg right near me. I think she just wanted to be near me. I'm just worried now that she won't lay in the nest box. Should I be worried that she will just lay all over or was she just wanting to stay near me?? Any ideas???

My daughter has been playing house... OY.
The feathering on this one is odd. it is supposed to be a blue, but it is so light on the wingtips!

How old is it? Mine (above) is 3 weeks and not nearly as fluffy. I have fluff envy!

If you breed a white silkie with a white silkie will all there chicks be white.

Hi Fellow Silkie Lovers!
I had my very first home bred buff Silkie chick hatch today. But the poor little thing has spradle leg. I used the bandaid method and put the chick upright in a very small bowl with padding. The poor little thing kept flipping backwards. Am I missing anything? How long do I leave the bandaid on? Any thoughts would be great!!
