Silkie thread!

It's goes inside the incubator

Well the walmarts by me must have switched up. I took your picture with to get the right thing but they did not have it at 2 different locations. :( The reptile version I picked up is close in temp but the humidity differs by 9-10%. It's display does say wet, could that be the difference?

Ok, I have a dumb question. I am new to silkies. I would like to do some showing, so I bought some
Hatching eggs from a prominent breeder. Some of my hatchlings are about 2 weeks old now.
I am enjoying them so much! Somme of the chicks have a very upright posture and some of the
chicks have more of a horizontal chicken look to them. Is this a first indicator of who might turn out
to be a possible show bird?

Too hard to tell that young my favorite silkie I thought was a roo and said I keep it no matter what turned into be a hen and one I thought was a roo turned out to be a hen lol I now can tell they are 7 month old now they started to crow and lay eggs but so hard to tell

Upright posture = show bird

I suspected this. I have a little splash hatchling that is almost twice the size of
the others and is very active. I can't help but admire it as it is getting plumage everywhere!
Well, I have been spending more time with this chick and yesterday counted toes just for fun. It only has 4 toes on each foot! Nooooooo!!!
