Silkie thread!

There something I noticed. I don't know what it is. But its swelled a bit on lower beak. I thought canker bit its not anything like it. Its pink sore like. I don't know if he fought with roo as he can get to the other and pit head through the fence where I got him. Its gum colored little swelled not like canker of yellow weird looking. Should I just keep an eye on it?

The beak colored bump under his lower beak? Might just be a weird beak growth... Hard to tell.
 
Yeah but If u lookin his beak its slightly swelled pink not anything like canker. I'm thinking he got in a scuffle between the cage with the rooster next to him when I got him...i hope
 
silkies are a great breed to have. they are calm, and make great mothers as most of you probably know. i had 1 hen hatch some geese for me this past spring.

How many? She could probably only cover two. LOL! My cochin bantam could only cover two of them. Haha.
 
yes, she could only successfully cover two eggs. they were canada goose eggs. they live in my yard now.
 

What? Silkies? I have two one never crows and the other probably twice in the morning and that's it.
 
a silkie lay how many eggs before go broody OR how many days she takes to get broody again?
