Well I chipped off a small piece where the egg was pipped, and peeled back the membrane, and the chick is alive and moving and breathing but is just sitting there. I am also going to keep an eye on this black one I helped and leave it in the incubator for a while, it's legs look like they might be weird. I have one partridge sizzle in the brooder =D It's so cute! Not a perfect sizzle though, it has pink skin.
well, i got home and it was just sitting there doing nothing. I chipped off a piece of the shell, and nothing. pulled membrane, nothing. it was breathing, but rather slowly. it looked like it was crying, its mouth was opening and shutting over and over and over but no sound came out. I feel like it was going to die anyways, it just is not lively at all. so, i just took it all out of the shell and it is in the incubator. I don't expect it to make it at all. it just isn't lively. really didn't seem lively earlier today either. I thought the last one wasn't lively, but this one is like wayyyy worse. it is still breathing etc, but who knows. there seems to be a lot of yolk sac left. I've never seen one with such a visible yolk sac. I left it attached to the shell. if it lives, it lives. I did my best. I don't think it had much of a chance to begin with. I'll check on it in the middle of the night.
