wow she is beautiful I would love to get a silkie like her

She really is the sweetest little hen too. That colour around her neck is what is referred to as leakage. DQ in the show ring , but I'm not into showing either so it's no biggy for me.

My silkies main man, Keanu, came in for some snuggles from my daughter yesterday after he ripped off a nail. He's a sweetie smooth sizzle.

And we have a broody (surprise! ) that is hatching bantam Faverolles today.

Just picked up these two today. She thinks(not knows) the black one is a rooster and the white one is a pullet but judging on just the way that they act and the slight difference I think she may be right.


Couldn't get a good picture of the white one.

Dolly is the oldest. She is almost 3. She has a curled foot, so she is my special needs girl, but gets around fine. All of the other adults are around a year.

I just checked my Instagram and saw his partridge hen Butterscotch came down with the tell tale signs of Mareks.....He is really sad and may have to end up putting her down!
His Petsitter found this when he was on vacation....now she is to the point where she cannot walk and has a foot that reaches forward.
Butterscotch was one of his first silkies, and also raised some chicks...if she DOES have mareks......who knows what other birds in his flock she had been around!







PLEASE prey for his flock! he is such a nice friend of mine!
