Silkie thread!

Yes, looking like a boy so far..still pretty young, but that hairdo is starting to sweep back, and that's a good sized comb already.

Ok this is my daughters silkie, Boots. Got his/name because the feathers on his feet are wider than the body. So she called him/her boots. I was wondering if any of you can maybe guess if you think a pullet or cockrel? I'm guessing roo but I'm hoping I am wrong. I am such a newbie with silkies I really have no clue. This any is now 5 weeks old I believe.
hate todissappoint you but i think you have a roo there he hasgot a comb and looks like small waddles i could be wrong but comparing to what my 6 week old looks like thats my humble opinion

It looks like a roo to me-- see the way that the featehrs on its head kinda point towards his butt? That is what a roos do and a pullets should stand straight up and look like cotton ball-- here is a pic of one of mine that looks to be close to the same age as yours and I am about 99% sure mine is a lady

Does look a little rooish, but it's a little early to tell.

How old are silkies before they are fully fluffed

I had my last girl take as long as 7 months. I have found some are different in fluffing out..some take their sweet time, and others a puff balls before you know it, as early as 5 months, but usually, mine are around 7 months, then, if bearded, they can still beard out more after that.
