By the way just in case you were wondering a silkie cannot cover 20 LF eggs!!! I let her stay broody but these aren't fertile. Apparently she had no issues letting friends share the nest box!

Blue silkies usually have one white/pink toenail or toe .
interesting. Thanks for letting me know. My black also had this. I was just hoping they were my lydias. I think they are. My lydias a blue. She's got dark head and lighter body.or the mother could be a spash hen with lavender in her. I hope not. I hope lydias the real mom.
