Love your Ivory and Ebony peeps - especially the one with the Mohawk crest. I happen to like the Black and Partridges the best but they're ALL always cutie pies!

And last is Felicity. Her legs are going to be amputated. Vet said apparently past the knee is too far gone. So we will see if that will help. If it doesn't she will be euthanized. I've seen where they can adapt to stubs. I hate the idea. But she will be an inside chicken for the rest of her life.

I have rehomed silas, emery, 2 chicks, and roman. Due to they have crooked beak in genes. Luckily they will pets.
I now am starting over. None of the chicks I have now are related to that family. So wish me luck lol
I ordered 6 Silkies with 3 LF and ideal sent 10 extra roos.
Oh its getting so close and im so nervous. The chicks ship tomorrow.

this is what I have for them to go in when they get here. Does it look ok?
Also does ideal send extra chicks with the order? I ordered 9.
I bought chick starter. 50lb. Lol so I may have extra.
I'd like to add I would not center the lights, I'd move them both over to one side about 6"?Looks great, you are obviously a ' planner ' . The only thing I would change is the flooring. Newspaper or paper is too slippery for chicks and can create problems like ' slipped hocks ' . I use paper towel for the first 7-10 days then I use oaten chaff. This link gives you other options.
