No I'm asking about All Stock. The egg quality is fine no soft brittle shells. I give then lots of ground egg shells.

I will ask about All Flock. I haven't seen it at the feed store. The owner is going to ask the company if they have what I'm looking for.

What do y'all feed your birds that free range? What do you feed those that don't!

Really?
The all stock around here is very sweet, lots of molasses and only 10% or 12% protein??
I do know a fella that feeds his chickens "livestock feed" I have never seen the bag or the feed. Basically it's what he feeds his cattle, he says it is cheap. His birds free range with his cattle and eat their feed.
His birds look GREAT!! They are healthy and Happy....so who could tell him he is not feeding them right? I keep asking him to send me a picture of the bag, but he hasn't yet!! Lol

Ok guys...need advice.

I currently have 11 chickens.
3 baby chicks (2 sizzle blue, 1 silkie black)
1 black sizzle hen arya
1 black silkie rooster damon
1 splash silkie rooster (infertile)ichabod
2 blue hens Lydia and kira
3 older 3mo.chicks blue idk genders

Well a friend is trying to rehome to me her 4 she has.

Which is
1 sizzle black roo (black sizzle is its mom)
1 showgirl white rooster
1 black hen
1 blue showgirl hen

The only thing is if sizzle to sizzle would be bad. I prefer all to be in same coop but do t want chicks with problems.

Also I despise white silkies lol. But love showgirls. I'm afraid I'll get all white chicks in future which I dread.. would I? I'd love more splashes.

So what to do?

Are the sizzles all Frizzled sizzles? If u have smooth sizzles, u can breed them to anything. Its just the Frizzled birds, of any breed, should not be bred to one another.

The thing I am seeing is you will have 4 Roosters with 9 hens...and if half of your 6 chicks are fellas, that's 7 of 15?? Pretty high on the boy to girl ratio to be in a single pen.

What is a good ratio to have. Or safe ratio I should say. I have 7 four month olds. Of which 3 have crowed. A fourth and firth I am betting on being boys as well. All thought you will never know, I'm really hoping I'm wrong! The two remaining I'm sure are girls. And they are as sweet and petite as they come. Then I have the Fabulous Frizzled Five! My 5.5 week olds. If I were to judge based on their demeanor, I'd say 2 boys, but me guessing is just that, a guess. I have 2 in the bunch who are always rough housing with each other. No one else wants to be involved in their antics. And when I have put them together with the teenagers, the one rough houser goes straight up to one of the 4 month old boys and throws a Ninja kick at their chest! But never to the girls.
So if my guesses are right, I have 7 boys and 5 girls. What is a safe ratio? I'm trying not to get too attached to some of the boys, but there are 2-3 that are my best buds and I love them dearly.
