Well my brother is going to take one of my roos since they arent getting along but he won't be able to take him until the end of March. I dont think it's a good idea to put them back together so I was thinking about bringing Olaf in after Johann heals and try to tame him a bit more. Can he be alone that long?

I've had to isolate recuperating birds in-house sometimes up to 4 weeks and they have been put back in the flock after that. For those short periods they don't seem affected by isolation. I also have a fence between the bird and the flock to get re-acquainted before complete integration - because I'm a worry wart. My flock is all hens so I don't know how it works for the roos.

My silkies used to have to dark blue ear lobes in summer when they were laying perfectly... now it's winter here in Pakistan (Karachi) and from the very beginning of the winters my silkie's ear lobes color are now of light blue color and they're not laying either. Pic of my Silkie roo is attached kindly let me know that is this because of sickness, stress or does that indicates that they're not in the breeding mood?

Maybe some others will add to your answer but here's what happens with my 2 Silkie hens. My Partridge Silkie always has turquoise ear lobes no matter if she's laying or not, winter or summer, doesn't matter she always has turquoise -- she is 4 yrs old and doesn't lay eggs much any more. My Black Silkie gets varying shades of gray-black in her lobes with them only occasionally getting a blue tint and no rhyme or reason as to when or why -- I always thought it was just because not only was her skin black but so are her feathers so maybe that's why they looked less blue -- she also seems to have fur not as thick as my Partridge. The Black Silkie has very thin feathering compared to the Partridge. My Partridge has always been a dainty little girl and nibbles at her food while my Black Silkie has always been our rough-and-tumble girl and gulps food and is a busy forager.

The blue or turquoise lobes on silkies does fade with age.if your girls have ceased laying , now would be a good time to worm them.

still nothing from either "hen" i looked at their combs and the male has a large comb and the two hens have very small combs and their earlobes are also kinda light blue. also if you feel the pubic bones of both they both have small space between (maybe like one finger?) also how big are silkies supposed to get? my black hen i can pick up with one hand. the male stands maybe 12inches? and the hens maybe 10 inches give or take a little.
