Silkie thread!

I was gonna offer to help but I'm to far away and not in the path of your traveling. I'm sorry. Best of luck! Hope you find someone to help you, but more then that I hope she recovers.

Question... Is she on meds? How many? You might want to try taking her off everything and starting over. To manybmeds could be messing her up worse
This is the 2nd or 3rd week I've been trying to help her. I don't put her on too many things at once so I know what is working and what isn't. I really want to give her the vitamin E instead of worming her for round worms next. I need to get her so she can at leat get to food and water without my help. I"m leaving on the 15th of next month and won't be back till the 19th in the evening. There is more than just feeding her. She has to be bathed every other day since she can't get out of her poop. I use a towel in my lap when I feed her and that has to be washed also then there is the carrier I have her in has to be cleaned out. It's a big favor to ask somebody to take care of her.

My vet would board her but I really can't afford it. They would charge out the WAZOO to take care of her special needs. They let me make payments if I need to. They would also put her in their cage where she may be able to hurt herself. I like the carrier because she is more contained and there's nothing she can get hurt on when she thrashes around to change positions.

My DD and I go broke where our pets are concerned. I mean like $1,000's but then that's just us. Besides you know best for your situation. I hurt for your little girl and for your bro. GL and blessings during this trying time for your family.

3 Paint (although one hatched black), 2 silkie/marans mixes & 1partridge sizzle

I know my RIR chicks start out similar, with the light color and specks of black, but eventually turn a nice, dark red color. But is it the same with silkies? Bought two red silkies (understanding they probably won't be a nice, dark red) from Ideal. Two blues, also.

I have 2 chicks that look just like that. They are suppose to be buff but buff chicks don't have markings.

Quote: These will probably just be a dark buff color (not buff, but not red). I'm hoping anyway. I have enough buff/golden chickens running around. Would be great if they really do turn out red, but I'm not expecting it.
This is the image Ideal uses to represent their red silkies:

I bought a bunch of feed store silkies a couple of weeks ago. They all appear to be coming in white despite their fluff being varying colors (I thought one was going to be a blue or splash), all white except they have very faint tinges of color on the tips of their covert wing feathers. Not like a splash, really, like this but much more dilute and over white instead of blue. I hope someone has thoughts on this. I thought about uploading pics, but I do not think it would show very well. As of now, I am just chalking it up to messy hatchery breeding but you'd think they could get white right.
