Silkie thread!

My daughter once named half of our chicks Cinderella and half of them Belle, she was 3 at the time. 50 of them. But, considering they were straight run and most of them ended up being pullets, I was okay with that. We held onto our rooster, Cinderella for a long time :D

What about 'Gabby and Gerard ' ? I have a roo named ' Brewster ' after Punky Brewster , cause he's full of attitude.

Brewster? Or spell it B-ROOSTER. I needed a little fun today - thx guys!

Is blue cream the same as what people sometimes call porcelain? They are beautiful.
Yes. The originator of Porcelain silkies in the USA called them Porcelains but the name is already in use with other breeds in the SOP so the variety name of Blue Cream was adopted by breeders working on the project. It helps unify efforts to get them shown and accepted someday.

Thank you.

I am enthralled with them. It is difficult to get the 80% lavender and 20% buff just so with this color and I just started work on them two years ago. These chicks are F2. I really am crossing my fingers for at least three of the nine to be worthy of carrying forward the project. Two more hens are brooding eggs from this pen so that will help up the odds I get a good percentage to go ahead as well.

These guys are my 3 silkie babies I got last week :) they are doing great, they love they're mommy (Me) and just love to be cute little fuzzy goofballs! :)
