Hey, are Sizzles welcome here too or do we have a Sizzle-specific thread somewhere?

Got some beautiful Cuckoo Sizzle chicks a week or two back, one smooth and one frizzled. By the looks of the combs they're both roos though, of course! I'm working on Sex Linked Silkies but I suppose they will be useful in perpetuating the pure Cuckoo line...

For all you bakers, when baking with silkie eggs do you add more or just use the number called for in a recipe? Wasn't sure since they are smaller.

My silkies laid pretty big eggs, but I still used 2 for 1. They were about 3/4 of a SS egg.

I've got 6 silkie eggs in my incubator, 3 had pipped when I left for work. I have 2 white silkies, the daddy is a blue frizzle bantam cochin. I'm so anxious to get home and see these little boogers!

I'm new to the Silkie breed and really curious. What will these chicks look like. Silkie X blue Frizzle Cochin= ?

I have no idea!!

That's why I'm so anxious. I think there is a possibility of sizzles, but I've heard that its hard to tell what you'll get with white. Not to mention, my white silkies are not even close to breed standard. But they are nice pets! I'll post some pics as soon as I get some.

I break two average silkie eggs into a glass measuring cup and compare volume against a normal large egg and go from there.
