These little guys are 16 weeks old now and she is now raising a Silkie 3x Wyandotte and a Sussex.
She's a good mum.

They should be fine if they grow up with them. Orpingtons are generally a gentle breeds and I think Wyandottes are as well.

I can't answer about Wisconsin weather, but I can tell you that with Wyandottes, some are gentle, but some are the meanest hens I've ever known. Before I had a rooster, a Wyandotte hen was always at the top of the pecking order, sometimes relentlessly bullying my Buff Orpingtons. Even my Silkie seems to boss the Orpington I currently have, despite the fact that she's twice the size of the Silkie. My neighbor has a Wyandotte whose temperament is much more agreeable, so I think it really depends on the bird. Raising them together should help, though. If any start acting too aggressive, you can rethink if it's worth separating them or not.

Beautiful Black Silkies!!!

I never thought I would get a Black Silkie. I fully intended to get another Partridge but fell in love with our bearded little girl when we saw her!! The Black Silkie is our spunkiest chicken and our littlest! She is a glisteny black but in our brutal SoCal heatwaves her pretty black turns rusty color from the sun. She's also OCD scratching so hard she pulls out toenails. Right now I have her in the house with a paper-taped foot so we'll see if this is going to make toenail #3 that she loses!

Thank you! Most of them are blue black and splash, but one of my pens (my "fun pen") throws some chicks that are partridge-ish, white and some non standard color that looks something like wheaton.

I just got into silkies so far I have
1 Lavender silkie hen
1 black silkie hen
1 buff silkie hen
I will post pictures tomorrow
My avatar picture is the lavender silkie
I think she will be my best hatcher cause she is sooo fat and fluffy. And I am leaving eggs in the nest boxes (So hopefully one of them will go broody) And the lavender silkie sits on them everynight but leaves in the morning.
And could someone tell me what a broody silkie hen looks like
I am guessing that they get puffy like black australorps.
