Silkie thread!

Hen or roo? Can anyone tell on these two? They're about 3 months old. First is my paint and second is my frizzled silkie (roo?). Thank you!

Hi, new to this forum.

I bought a few silkies about 3 months ago. white rooster & hen, black hen & a grey/silver partridge that I am unsure of.

I have attached 2 pics of the flock. As you can see, the silver/brown/partridge one's feather composition is different to the others.

My sister has said that it may be a 2nd generation cross with something.

Any ideas? The feathers don't fully fluff out like others. Wing & tail is different as well...

Have recently hatched 5 young ones 4 weeks old now. 2 whites (like father) & 3 like mother (grey/silver partridge you see here).

Currently have 8 day old ones. same parents.

my silkies are about 12 weeks old now, and ive had a feeling from the beginning that Chewy (the partridge) was a roo, and now I'm fairly positive. But I thought that Hen Solo (the gray) was a female, and now I'm doubting that....do you think I have 2 roos here?? neither make any sound so the whole crowing thing I don't know about, and they are too young to be laying so I don't have any clues there either...maybe I just have to keep waiting.

I have a Silkie roo who has always had a different attitude then my other chickens but he is only 13 weeks old. He's pecked me before and lately he's been pecking all of my chickens but lately he won't let go and then once they get away he chases them. Are these sign that he's a bad rooster? Should I be worried about his attitude towards me and my chickens

Just picked up 2 silkie chicks earlier today. Looks like one's a blue, not sure about the other yet. I'll have to post pictures later.

It's really so hard to tell at 3 months. When I had my 3 month olds, in fact even my day-olds, my roo hunches had all turned out right. By 5 months I was pretty sure and of course the crowing at 7 months cinched the guesses!
