Silkie thread!

That's crazy but it sounds like it saved your chick, if not her feathers!

My neighbor's dog ate four of my birds last week. She waited till I left home and busted in the pen and ate them in my garden. It is a very dog thing to do but I don't like her anymore.

My husband's dog has gotten to our birds inside in a brooder so I really don't like that dog. He is not supposed to have her out of her room unsupervised because she is so aggressive towards our other dogs but it has happened more than once. I will be so glad when that dog dies of old age if I don't end up killing her myself before then!

I have partridge chicks hatching.

These two are working together in the coop. The back one has been there foe 3+ weeks and has at least 2 yellow chicks. The buff just joined her yesterday afternoon, which is a relief to me because I know the black started with 3 and slowly accumulated at least 8 at last count. She will need the help for sure!

the black is De'lorean and the buff is Daphne. Both are just a year old.
