I would say pullet.

I am thinking this 8 week old (supposed) silkie is a rooster with this comb growth and saddle feathers. Any other opinions out there? My other 2 have very different combs. One being wide and the other having no significant growth.

Silkies don't really get saddle feathers, but I'd agree with you that this is a cockerel. The comb is a straight comb , not desired in the breed , but do pop up occasionally.

They get saddle feathers. They just aren't the traditional type. I read well bred silkies saddle feathers are very hard to see though.

Saddle feathers are not a reliable marker on the breed when it comes to sexing. Yes they get a form of saddle but that usually isn't obvious until long after they are crowing.
