Hi I'm new to BYC Silkies are such great breeds! I have a chick that looked partridge but but as she feathered out some parts of her were partridge and some parts buff

Is it normal for 3-4 week old silkies to be the same size as day old regular chicks? My last silkies I received at six weeks and they were not too tiny. The silkies are in the sandbox, and the blrw and buff Orpingtons are 3 weeks... this was when I first moved my new silkies into the pen with my other babies, so I put them into the sand with their food lol... the food has been moved to a better location.

I am looking for silkie eggs. Are any of them partridge. How much and do you ship to tn.

Oh man, I just stuck everything I have under a broody gen cause I didn't want them to go to waste. If I get more I will let you know, and yes they would be partridge and there would be blues. When the eggs hatch I will be selling the chicks and I do ship if your interested.

No kidding on the price difference for the "human" vs animal stuff. Last carpel tunnel surgery Mom had, the doctor told her to wrap the whole thing with it twice every day after she applied the new dressing. No way someone can afford that and Mom has a limited budget. When she called and told me, I told her to stop at the feed store. She was thrilled to get so much more for a fraction of the price

Exactly! I was buying the wider stuff for horses and we used it at home and so much cheaper. In the hospital we called it coban. It's great for splinting.
