Silkie thread!

Hi I’m pretty unfamiliar with the colours of silkie and I’ve been told that this boy is grey and a series of other colours.... any ideas? 4A1FD21E-FD46-41B4-B5FF-141B1126F189.jpeg

Hi everyone, I'm so happy to have found this thread!

I have a flock of RIRs for the past 4 years and I'm currently researching silkies :)

After reading this silkie chicken guide, it said that they struggle in rainy climates, is this true?

I haven't heard this before but living in Seattle it has me worried. Any advice!?

I think it may say that because their feathers do not repel water like regular chicken feathers. The only time it is an issue is when its cold out. If you have a covered run for them at that time there should be no issues.
