Silkie thread!

Going to ask this here to see if anyone has experienced it with their Silkies!

My Bantam Silkie Pullet has been laying for around 4 or so months now. She was laying eggs around half the size of your standard hens egg. They were perfectly fine. Laying almost one every day.

However, over the past week her eggs have gotten smaller, the same size as my partridge Bantam that's smaller than her. I got the partridge pullet about 1 week ago which was when my existing pullets eggs changed size.

It's as if since I've added the new pullet that lays smaller eggs, she's decided to lay eggs the same size to match.

They're about a quarter smaller than she was originally laying.

There is nothing wrong with the eggs at all. She's perfectly healthy and has had no change in diet to cause this.

Any guesses? :idunno

So proud of my two pure whites :wee

PomPom came 2nd, Flump came 1st as well as best in show soft feather bantam and overall best in show reserve champion!

Okay. So Floof has pursed himself as the boy you all assured me he was. Not a comb or streamer to be found in his head. But he's out there crowing with another 7 week old roo and they aren't getting along. So both of them are being rehomed Tuesday.

But this leaves poof. I was really sure poof was a pullet. Tiny. Black head. Scared of EVERYTHING.

But today Poof was out there rushing into the fight between peepers and Floof....

So... Is poof a secret roo to? Our was poof just breaking up the fight??

Looks even more pullet to me.

Hens will fight. They also will back up their buddies and their rooster.

I had a silkie rooster take over the yard and beat up my large fowl ameraucana. He always had his horde of hens helping.

That's good to know. Often Poof gets in the middle and stares at both of them like idiots.
