Here are some of my little silkies! I have more hatching this Thursday! These are my first ever chickens! The lady had pretty nice quality imo. Hopefully they will look as lovely as everyone else's beautiful birds!

Hey guys, it's quite nice when someone who shows and wins posts eggs. There's a good breeder of silkies posting eggs on here, and she has no bids

. I showed against her at my first show this spring, and she had BOB. It was an APA show, and there were several well established silkie breeders exhibiting.

I would buy the eggs, but I purchased two dozen at the show and they hatched last week. My brooder is full.

Well my Silkie has done it... she hatched 5 out of 5 baby chicks

(the 6th one wasnt fertile and i thought it was a dud in the first place because of its size..)

Ok here is the update of the strange little colored silkes that I hatched out in my Calico project.

Here is the chick at hatching. The yellow & striped one on the bottom right.

Here is the chick at present.

The color is a Brown/Dun Cuckoo pattern, with a light beige on the front & the tail under color is a Lavenderish color. The skin color is black.

Interesting bird, I have two this age & a bunch that just hatched!
