Thanks!!! Ya his comb is LARGE! I have two hens that are supposed to be SQ and i had a roo but he died in the ship[ping process

So now i need another rooster preferebly SQ in lav or lav split to black and really any lav split. So if anybody has any extra roosters in those colors that are SQ or really close to it.

I got my blue split to lav cockerel from Bobbi Porto of Indigo Egg. He's SQ in my eyes he's still pretty young though I can't wait to see how he fills out. She might have more if you ask her.

what is the best color to cross with blue/splash? I have a roo that I though for sure was a splash but the last judge marked him as a blue. I don't have a pic right now to post. But he has done well at shows and is beautiful! I would like to breed him but the only BQ hen I have is a buff. So I am looking to get another hen but trying to decide on a color or colors. What is the best to cross him with? I know blue doesn't usually breed true usually get a mixture, should I stick with blue?

Would silver on the neck of a black roo make him less desirable?

this hen is blue

you don't want color leakage in the hackles but it can be hard to find one without it

I had to pay an arm and a leg for an adult roo without any leakage in his hackles.
