Mine are the sweetest, softest, most loving little birds in the world! Mine are definitely therapy animals....for ME! I have one particularly sweet black roo that follows me anywhere in the yard I go....just like a little dog, and loves to be picked up and carried. Oh My, he stole my heart!

Besides, if the code enforcement people come to fine me.....I'm telling them they are rare Asian Ground Parrots!

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

Ive had people that came over and looked at the silkies and swore they where not chickens then when they petted one they say thats not feathers it's fur.

Most people that see them (usually people like the A/C installers since I don't really let people in my yard) ask me what kind of birds they are, like they realize they are birds but can't put it together after that

Question for you guys. Would a shortened first toe be a DQ in a show? I have one that his first toe seem very short and the only one in my flock that has this type of toe. The first toe is short on both feet.

I've had them get angry -- that it is fur not feathers . I've tried to explain the no barb in their feathers .

they still look at me like what ever lady .
