Thanks, If I had the time to do anything for Shague then we would have but it was almost instant, anything could have spooked your girl , Hugs to you and I pray that you have a good outcome

Amy try the tea honestly I think you'll be surprised at how well it helps . Try to get your tea from a herbal store if possible . It will be fresher ( more powerful ) I've had 4 children and the last being when I was 44 . I nursed all of them and used teas to help them thru various problems . camomile is a very soothing but yet powerful little flower that I recomend offten for colic -- sour stomach or for people that just cann't sleep . I'm by no means a herbalist just a women that came from a very poor family that learned very valuable remedies and life skills from alot aunties and uncles ( 17 kids on my momma side

Teresaann24 -- Sorry to hear about your bird - the best thing I think you could do right now is make sure she has food and water . I might put a few drops of Poly-Vil-Sol in her water or give her some sort of electrolites to give her a little strength ( energy ) . And wait it could take a couple of weeks for her to heal . You did the best thing by seperateing her from the others . I hope does well I'll keep you and her in my thoughts and prayers ~~~~ Tammy

I put a pic. up a couple of pages back but really would like to know if she has good -- poor -- or ok coloring -- she isn't from my own breeding but I am giving thought in breeding blue and gray partridge . Is her chest too light . I know Sonoran has said the black breasted must be dark in their chest . Does the hen too and is it the same for Blue partridge ? Or is color even Blue Partridge ? Would any of you use her ? She has all her toes -- ok spaceing not perfect though -- foot feathering awsome and I really think her type is good . Can someone with experince please help thanks ~~~~ Tammy

She is really a sweet little girl I even thought about putting her in the spring show here - But really cann't tell if her color is right by myself . I've seen so many different varietys or colors what have you of partridge that I will confess I'm confused so any advice I'm very grateful for thank you ahead of time . ~~~~ Tammy

Put her on her back and move her legs like she is peddling a bicycle (smile and make goo-goo noises at her and she will think it a game. Or put her on a towel on top of a running washer or dryer (hold on so she doesn't get vibrated off!) Put her in the car for a ride around the block (or 10) to lull her to sleep. When you need a break, turn her over to Dad for some Cuddling With Daddy Time.

Hello to all my BYC friends. Hoping someone on this post can help me. I'm looking for a young silkie as a friend for my current silkie. She's been alone now for about a month. I had a bantam SLW since last August with her, then the SLW would not stop picking on my silkie, Pippie. It was constant and driving me nuts. But, I really feel that Pippie wants a baby. She's been broody twice already in the past few months. And when I did get the SLW, she was such a good mom. She wouldn't eat any of the treats I gave them, she would only give them to the SLW. It was quite amazing to watch.
So, I'm hoping to find a female for her. She has a very sweet disposition. She's been with other hens before and they got along great. Unfortunately, I had to put my one hen down, so, hence the search to find her a friend. Since the SLW didn't work out, everyone has been telling me to get another silkie. So, that's where you guys come in. Pippie is white, so I'm hoping to get any other color than white. And I don't care what she looks like, I'm not showing them, they're just my babies that I love to spoil and take care of. So, it doesn't have to be some show bird. Hoping to get a younger bird, perhaps a month old, give or take. I live in central NJ, and I'm willing to drive about an hour.
If you can help me, or know of someone that can, I would be so happy. And Pippie even happier. She really needs a friend. Please any help is so much appreciated. Just PM me with any information you have. Again thank you so much for reading and hope everyone is enjoying your spring weather.

She seems to be doing worse now then she was...I fear she is not going to make it. I got her to drink some Gatorade.

This is so sad I have had her for almost three years.
