Silkie thread!

Exactly.... I remember sending you a bird a couple years ago. I could have swore it was a pullet and you said it laid an egg. Then the bugger started crowing.

I'm curious on the inflated chick too.... Was it one of the youngest ones or the week old ones?

It was one that was a week old. I tried, hoping some miracle would happen, but it didn't make it.

You send me weird things, Amy. Just weird... but wonderful.

I'm going to hatch some favorelles and a few more of my bantam lav ameraucanas for egg consumption purposes maybe they will decide that roaches are good snacks but the silkies don't even react!

I have Sweet PDZ in the granular form. I mix it in with the shavings when I strip the runs not working so great. My feedstore only sells the granular and at first I worried the silkies would eat it but they haven't tried. Maybe I need to try another approach with using it. What do you recommend? Maybe putting it down as a layer before the shavings or adding it more often to the runs? Two of my runs are on concrete so adding the shavings works the best I think but two others are on the grass.

Can you block the sprinklers from hitting the run? If you're wetting it daily of course there will be mud and bacteria growth and odor.

Dry is good. Block those sprinklers! Take advantage of one of the few benefits of living in the desert, the power of DRY!

That's a very good thought I might hang some wooden blinds or something to help with the sunlight as well as any splatter the runs are getting.

I don't think my butt even dreamed of shrinking at 6 months PP let alone 6 weeks PP! I scoffed when people reminded me I had just had a baby but now I'm the one doing the reminding. lol You just had a baby!

Another thought (like you need anymore from the peanut gallery aka me haha) instead of the reflux angle or what not. Since you mentioned it's like she's tired but doesn't want to miss anything sort of behavior during "fussy time". I remember later on after the reflux drama running into this and found that if I could plot the time around about when I thought crankiness was about to set in and laid Finn down for a nap a half hour earlier sort of anticipating his need for sleep he'd be much less likely to do the whole sleep, crying, don't you dare let me miss a moment thing

I read it somewhere can't remember where though.

Ohh and holy zoo!

I thought about nursing more than once... Then reality made me think twice. I work at a very large casino about 30 miles from home. If its busy, you are on the floor til business dies down. You don't get long breaks just to go pump. On weekends your shifts rarely get over at your scheduled time. If I were a stay at home mom it would be different. Maybe one of those soy based formulas...

I already use the Tide scent free. I am very sensitive to alot of perfumes. I can't walk into Bath & Body without wheezing. Getting rid of the softener sheets. I also have some of that ColicCalm on the way.

Amy, do you have a sling carrier for Kaylie? They work really well, and being that close to mama often helps (well, maybe not at arsenic hour, but most other times). A backpack carrier for when you're doing something like cooking can also be helpful, and make sure you also have both that are DH sized.

It honestly sounds to me like you are still nesting! Are you sure you delivered all the babies you're carrying? Maybe one is still hiding in the place you mention above?

Carriers make life soo much easier! Excellent suggestion I second and third this!
