These will most likely turn out to be Silver partridge, aka Grey, silkies. Being that there is partridge on one side they will have red off coloring. That is the usual out come of that cross.

The white obviously has carries silver or golden (one copy silver, one copy gold). Depending on the white's gender, the greys could be pure for silver or golden. Whether or not they end up showing red will depend on whether they also carry autsomal red.

If the white is a silver male, the daughters will be pure for silver: grey. If he is golden, half the daughters will be pure for silver and the other half will be pure for partridge.

If the white is a female, all her sons will be golden.

I haven't read all 473 pages of this thread...yet... but I really want to ask a question... or two. Apologies if they have been answered.

#1. I got the impression from a couple of the posts that it is possible to keep more than one silkie roo (with hens) in a pen. Is that right?

#2. Can several roos be kept together if there are no hens in the pen?

I added a new one the end of March. Used a cage inside the coop with the new one in for a few days(after he was quarantined) then let him out and watched. Neither of them are over a year old. If they kept fighting put the new one back in the cage. Eventually they will get their pecking order situated and will get along. It's always a hassle adding new started birds to a flock. If they are raised together it's much easier, they will get along, maybe a few fights now and then. I have a new one now and keep putting off the cage in the coop thing.

I've yet to keep a silkie roo without girls so I can't speak for that, but I know people keep them in "roo pens".
