Silkie thread!

Me too! I always loved horses and dogs... I didn't get my chickens til about 12 years ago and WHO KNEW!? how cute they could be and how many sayings relate to chickens. Most of my customers are repeat buyers. People just can't get enough! I've kept several breeds, but the Silkie won out over the others... I do still have my HUGE Jersey Giants who are just as placid and sweet as the Silkie, but Silkies by far are the most popular and fun.

Hey everyone I was hoping yall could help me with 2 of my chick's colors. They both come from a white roo and a blue hen.

The first one Im not sure if he would be considered blue or splash. He looks too dark to be splash and too light to be blue....

Would the second one be considered a blue partridge? Or is he just a blue with buff leakage?...

Thanks.

I have humor'd my husband into letting him think he put his foot down about showgirls

Truth is I have no room... but I have a Black/split boy with a little leakage that would be so AWESOME with a showgirl... his only fault would be hidden! no neck feathers on the babies!

Either you White is covering up Partridge (very likely) or the blue hen has the Partridge gene (possible).... The top baby would be considered a Blue, but looks Lavendery. It would probably produce white and blue... the bottom one might end up being a Blue/Partridge. both cute!!!
