And by Crazy foot feathering, do you mean in a good way? Or is it too excessive?

oh no I didn't mean it bad! I love to see foot feathering galore on my chicks especially that young! I've seen some debate as to how far the feathering should extent amongst the toes but in my eyes I see Crazy aka fabulous foot feather and I get pretty darn happy about it

Someone on here said "silkies are like potato chips... one is never enough

I built a cute little house for TWO, mind you, they were to be my pets in addition to a nice laying flock. Months later, I have 25, and its still not enough!

Oh and Linda that baby so far looks nice to me. I would plan to keep it and then have another close look at it in another 4-6 weeks and see where you are at. You really won't know if your little one is SQ for awhile but so far if you aren't seeing any DQ's you're on the right path. I'd encourage you to get more of that color if you like it. If it were me and I had trust in the breeder you are talking with and believe the parent stock are nice enough I'd get all 5 of the partridges that way you can pick your favorites later on to keep.

:: snickers :: the rule around here is I'm NOT counting anyone until they are 6 months old LOL! So by that logic I have 6!

Before I lost so many I think I was up around 25 adults but oh well. I have the hardest time saying when enough is enough!

That's good! I thought the more feathering the better, but as I said, I'm new to silkies. So from what you can tell from the pics, do you think it's worth picking up a couple more partridges and breeding them? I know it's hard to tell from pictures.... but does the toe spacing look right on him/her? I sure appreciate your input!!

HA! HA! HA!! Pick ones later on to keep??? HA!HA!HA!! Like I would ever be able to get rid of them after I've raised them!! I get WAY too attached to their little fuzzy butts! But thanks for your input... I'll see what I can work out with the breeder!

I like your counting system. I'll have to try that on my hubby!
