Super colour! Can't really tell type from that angle, but I'll bet it is super, too! She looks what I would say is nicely balanced. (Too small a crest looks unbalanced to me)

We are down to two chickens, a salmon faverolle and a BO, our single gold brabamtet died yesterday. We are limited as we live in the city limits.

Hubby is finally ok with us getting another chicken to replace tiki the runt.
my 17 yr old he fallen in love with silkies and asked for one that can be hers and live in the house(I don't mind it in the house as. Long as she takes cafe of it).
So, primarily a pet. Has to be a hen. And also, the kids want to get into showing .
What should I be looking for in a silkie?

We do have a coop big enough, the run is adequate with daily free range time, but this bird will be inside with daily trips outside.

Had some chicks hatch yesterday from my SQ BBS silkies (all parents have been shown by my daughter and placed at least RV) and wanted to share

I am SO happy with every single chick I've hatched from them!!
