this will be just temporary when they are old enough to lay until i can build something bigger then once i get a bigger coop for them then i will expand the number i have and thank you because when they are old enough to lay and to breed i want to seperate all my colors and i do not think the buffs belong in the white or BBS pen they need one of there own.

Just agreeing with Floridachicken.. 4x4 building is 16 sqft correct.. and 4 birds times the recommended 3 sqft per bird for a coop with attached run (or free range) is 12 sqft so it seems a pefect fit to me. Of course unless my math is wrong or you plan to not have an attached run (or free range) for them.

Yes But make sure not to over croud cause then you have alot of picking

I would be worried about her too, as its starting to get hot here i have to boot my hen off her nest so she drinks.
last time she didnt drink i was so worried about her to the point i couldnt sleep.
