Silkie thread!

So after cracking 1 of my plymonths eggs hers had a bullseye just like the fertilized egg so have 3 of hers and 2 of nuggets eggs in the nesting basket ... Henny took it upon herself to sit on them now not letting anyone near.... Guess time will only tell if they are viable.... I'll keep y'all posted... Then peaches will officially be claimed a roo. ::scared::

I got my first pure red silkie yesterday with her 8 chicks. Only went to get a couple of chicks but saw her and the babies and fell in love with them.
I was told that the chicks are pure red also but half seem a light yellow and the other half are dark. Im not worried though i love them all the same

Im looking forward to reading the thread to get some tips

What a picture!

Now I'm heading out to the coop to check on our hens and chicks. I'm hoping 2 more hatched while I was sleeping. I will be back with pictures! lol

My favorite girl, Cali, is being mean to the two new moms and their babies, and they're not protecting their babies or themselves.

So I have a new house guest. She's outside now in a separate pen, but I bring her in at night.

I love this girl, even though she's a meanie to the others now.

I think she might want to be top hen where they've been missing in action for awhile?

And they weren't too happy about having a group photo taken but they managed to stay still for about a half a second so I could snap this picture. I was glad to see the little white one!
