Quote: Jenny laid a new egg so now there are 6 eggs total in the basket. I put the date on the new one since she got up to eat...will she continue to lay more eggs ? know they can sit on atleast 10...peaches by the way is sitting by the basket watching the eggs now that henny is out....
It would be just my luck... So if by chance anything hatches i'm expecting small plymonths? Normal feathers right?
And with nugget being a sizzle with silkie feathers I'd get fuzzy silkie feathers?
How many fertizle eggs with they lay? When will I be able to eat eggs again lol
Apart of me is thinking to go out and buy an incubator and set them just to see... I'm so anxious to know.... But just worry bout them laying more that would then have to be incubated too... Suggestions ?
I don't know how you guys who hatch eggs do it .... So much time to wait lol I can already see myself pulling my hair out anticipation .
It could be worse, look up incubation time for emu.
Once they go broody and start setting, they will not lay until after they finish raising their clutch: 3 weeks of brooding, then another 4-6 weeks of raising the chicklets.
Type will be inbetween that of rocks and silkies, probably softer, fuller feathers, but not silkied. The rocks are barred? If so, all barred offspring will be males.
