Having great fun with my new chicks today. These two are so fun to watch I took them out for a photo shoot (porcelain & lav).
awww too cute!Well, I have my very first, broody hatched chick!! There are 4 girls all hatching together, hmmm Silkies! Not sure who the mom is of this chick, they all take care of it! It is running them all crazy, and spends a lot of time in the run, hanging with his daddy! When it gets cold, it stands in between the legs of the roo! This is a new experience for me, I've never had the chance to watch chickens raise their own, and now, I CAN!!! Three others hatched today, and there is no telling how many more. These gals are sitting tight, and belive me, they are attack dogs when it comes to their eggs and the little prizes! I won't be putting my face down to look more closely at a chick,,,that's all I'm gonna say!
The Splash girl here is "Splish". Not sure if she is mom or auntie, it doesn't seem to matter! Gosh, they look sooooo tiny outside!

so since i haven't posted a picture of my muffin lately , figured why not ? lol out of the original 3 pastries she ended up being the only pullet, she's a very fluffy one and my 1 year old's favorite. she really loves sitting and petting her & cupcake (muffin's bestie) ...
How sweet! They both look very happy with each other!!

) my husband loves our plymouth but she has competition with the polish (he adores them like i adore my fuzz butts
) and well my 3 year old loves them all but she's wanting me to get 2 show girls and name them lemon and flour lol she already has names pick out... tell her that i will maybe or that im trying to get eggs for us to hatch in a incubator... she's super excited. ooo silkies
