So sorry you had only one sweet chick. Hope you have a friend for it.
Any suggestions how to mix them? They have seen each other thru the fence this whole time but of course when I toss them on the other side they act all freaked out and want back over but those poor few hens r being beat upWorks for meand likely for them, too.
So I just got back yesterday from vacation and its taking me all day to get caught up on just the silkie thread. And I cant believe how much my chicks have changed in 4 days. I put all my juniors out in the grow out pen today. Since its over 100 I put the misters out and theyre little backs were moist. Shades of Partridge and a few whites.

Quote: Put them in with the girls, but give them places to hide and escape, and no places to get trapped. Maybe a box with a hole cut on the bottom that the silkies could get through, but not the large fowl. How old are they? I have been assuming grown, but if they have not reached teenage maturity (high sex drive), you may want to wait until they are older.
Thank you Cynthia12 , they are just pets but have great crest and feathered feet, ect. I enjoy watching the partridges change from little chipmunk patterns to beautiful shades of color. I might keep a couple but trading out all the rest.Oh that's a pretty little flock!
